Navigating AI’s Promise and Risk: Sure Secure’s Next Chapter

A glowing AI network path leading to a shield, with opportunity on one side and red risk warnings on the other

This year, as we prepare to meet customers and partners at the NASA SEWP VI kickoff in Louisville, I’m struck by how dramatically the world seems to be changing. Artificial intelligence (AI) is creating opportunities that were previously unimaginable—from advances on some of the world’s hardest math problems, such as Navier–Stokes, to entrepreneurs building innovative technologies that were previously the domain of only well-funded startups or corporations. The opportunities are vast.

At the same time, AI is introducing risks at a pace and scale society is struggling to manage. Government systems are already vulnerable, as recent reports involving DHS, the FBI, and Arizona’s courts demonstrate. In Australia, an AI agent gained unauthorized access to a government website during testing. These incidents illustrate both existing cybersecurity vulnerabilities and emerging AI risks—and this is just the tip of the iceberg.

It’s going to get worse before it gets better. The internet is riddled with security flaws. The threat landscape has exploded. Meanwhile, the future of knowledge work is uncertain. Will machines take our jobs? Will data centers damage the environment?

Amid all of this uncertainty, Sure Secure is focused on continuing to make a difference. We are a mission-focused small business with over two decades of experience helping organizations manage risk.

Our focus has now expanded to AI assurance, and we are ready to serve. If your organization is navigating AI adoption, governance, or security risks—or you see an opportunity to partner—let’s connect. We’d welcome the opportunity to meet in Louisville or schedule a conversation.
