Job Overview:
Sure Secure has an immediate need for an experienced Application Systems Engineer to support the AEGIS contract. This role provides essential sustainment, system configuration, data validation, workflow support, and end-user assistance for TRIRIGA and MREF environments during the migration of NASA’s MSFC and HQ TRIRIGA instances to the Office of Strategic Infrastructure’s (OSI) MREF module within Maximo Application Suite (MAS).
The Systems Engineer 3 – MAS Technical Engineer will provide senior-level engineering support for enterprise IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) environments supporting mission-critical federal operations. This role requires deep expertise in Maximo architecture, Linux systems administration, enterprise integrations, automation scripting, reporting platforms, and OpenShift containerized deployments.
The ideal candidate will serve as a technical leader responsible for the design, implementation, configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization of secure, scalable, and highly available MAS solutions across enterprise environments.
This position requires strong collaboration with cross-functional technical teams, leadership, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure operational excellence and adherence to enterprise integration and security standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting activities for IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS).
- Provide architectural leadership and technical direction for enterprise Maximo environments.
- Design and support enterprise integration architectures utilizing Maximo Integration Framework (MIF) and REST APIs.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python, JavaScript, XML, and JSON.
- Configure and support secure API management, authentication standards, and integration monitoring strategies.
- Support Maximo Mobile implementations including SSO authentication integrations.
- Configure applications using Maximo Application Framework (MAF).
- Develop and maintain BIRT reports and Microsoft Power BI dashboards.
- Perform enterprise data modeling and reporting optimization activities.
- Manage and support user synchronization with Microsoft Entra ID.
- Support OpenShift Container Platform deployments and containerized MAS environments.
- Develop Linux-based scripts and manage system operations, performance, and troubleshooting.
- Conduct system-level analysis, testing, and performance optimization.
- Utilize Jira Service Management or similar platforms to manage technical issues and service requests.
- Prepare and present technical updates and project information to leadership and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with enterprise teams to ensure compliance with security, operational, and integration standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum of 8 years of hands-on IBM Maximo technical engineering experience.
- Strong expertise with IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) architecture and administration.
- Experience with Maximo Integration Framework (MIF) and REST API integrations.
- Advanced Linux administration and scripting experience.
- Hands-on experience with OpenShift and containerized enterprise deployments.
- Experience with BIRT reporting and Microsoft Power BI.
- Experience developing automation scripts using Python, JavaScript, XML, and JSON.
- Experience supporting enterprise reporting and data modeling initiatives.
- Knowledge of secure API management and authentication frameworks.
- Experience supporting Maximo Mobile and MAF configurations.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with cross-functional technical and leadership teams.
- Experience using Jira Service Management or comparable ticketing systems.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
Desired Skills:
- Experience supporting NASA or other federal government enterprise environments.
- Experience designing large-scale enterprise integration architectures.
- Familiarity with MAS licensing models and large-scale deployments.
- Experience with high availability, observability, and performance tuning within MAS environments.
- Experience with IBM TRIRIGA and/or Maximo Real Estate and Facilities (MREF).
- IBM Maximo Certifications such as:
- IBM Certified Administrator
- IBM Certified Deployment Professional
